The tool calculates Profit per Order, Break-Even CPA, and Break-Even CPC.
| Industry | Avg. AOV (₹) | Typical Margin (%) | Conversion Rate | Break-Even CPC (₹) |
| E-commerce | 1,500 | 40 | 2% | 12 |
| SaaS / B2B | 10,000 | 70 | 5% | 35 |
| Fintech | 3,000 | 60 | 3% | 18 |
| EdTech | 4,500 | 55 | 2.5% | 15 |
| Consumer Apps | 500 | 50 | 1% | 2.5 |
(Values are indicative and vary by product pricing, margins, and user acquisition efficiency.)
Example Inputs:
Step 1: Profit per Order = ₹1,500 × 0.40 = ₹600
Step 2: Break-Even CPA = ₹600
Step 3: Break-Even CPC = ₹600 × 0.02 = ₹12
Final Output Message:
“Your campaign breaks even when your CPA is ₹600 and CPC is ₹12.
Paying above these levels will erode profit; anything below adds margin.”

Break-even CPA is the most you can pay in advertising to acquire one customer without losing money on that sale. It equals the gross profit you earn per order. If you pay more than this to get a customer, the sale loses money. If you pay less, the difference is profit.
Break-even CPA = average order value × gross margin. Break-even CPC = break-even CPA × conversion rate. For example, with an AOV of ₹1,500, a 40% margin and a 2% conversion rate, break-even CPA is ₹600 and break-even CPC is ₹12. For accuracy, use a margin that also deducts shipping, payment fees and returns.
Break-even CPA is the point where you make zero profit. Target CPA is the cost you aim for after keeping the profit you want. Subtract your desired profit per order from break-even CPA. In the example above, keeping ₹200 profit per order gives a target CPA of ₹400 and a target CPC of ₹8.
Break-even CPC rises in direct proportion to conversion rate. If your conversion rate doubles from 2% to 4%, your break-even CPC doubles from ₹12 to ₹24 while break-even CPA stays at ₹600. This is why improving landing pages and checkout often lets you bid higher and win more traffic profitably.
First-order value gives a conservative break-even CPA that recovers ad spend on the first sale. If customers buy repeatedly, you can base it on gross profit over their lifetime and bid higher. That only works if you can fund the wait for repeat orders, so check your CAC payback period before you raise bids.
